Online news blog Sarawak Report, which has been disclosing revelations on Chief Minister Taib Mahmud’s extensive business empire and unexplainable wealth running into billions of US dollars, has come under massive attack.

According to Sarawak Report owner Clare Rewcastle Brown, the site has been experiencing interrruptions over the past week “which culminated in concerted attack yesterday in the UK and then going fullblown and global overnight”.

“Our web experts say it is a Distributed Denial of Service Attack (DDOS) , the same form of attack that brought down WikiLeaks.

“They use robots to shoot bits of software to flood the server,” said Rewcastle in an email to FMT.

She blames Barisan Nasional for the attacks on her site.

She said it appeared that BN has suddenly realised the growing spread of information about corruption in Sarwak.

“We regard it as the latest of a series of highly inept and dishonest attempts to undermine our website.

“Clearly BN do not find themselves in a position to answer our findings and arguments, so they have taken the cheat route instead.

“Their methods of attacking us have all be very expensive, but highly counter-productive and have caused them to look pretty foolish in the process.

“They can’t seem to control the internet anymore. With the election campaign underway, Taib can’t seem to explain his wealth anymore,” she said.

Different counter attacks

She said BN had tried different ways of counter-attacking Sarawak Report.

“First they tried to out-number us with 30 or so look alike sites, all praising Taib Mahmud. Then they tried to ‘piggy-back’ us with a sound alike site with an almost identical name!

“Next they started posting paid ads for their site at the top of the google search page for Sarawak Report.

“By this time we had a loyal readership and they still made no impact at all.

“So, now the ultimate cheat. They have thrown more money into an attempt to knock us out altogether,” she said.

She added that all latest articles will now be posted in Sarawak Report’s Facebook until the site is back up.

New article on BN’s cyber war

In line with that, Rewcastle has put out a new article on the ‘BN’s cyber war’

According to new report, there have been dozens of new sites which have popped up under the control of PBB Youth Information leader, Abdul Aziz Adenan Satem, who is the son of Adenan Satem, Taib’s PBB Information Chief. He is also Taib’s nephew.

The report continues to state:

“All these sites are just like the Borneo Post and are by definition as boring as hell with the finger-prints of BN propaganda over every line. But, Abdul Aziz’s biggest and proudest effort has been a site called Sarawak Reports.

As they say ‘imitation is the sincerest form of flattery’, so of course we all know that this means that young Abdul regards our site to be a massive success and he wants others to come to his site thinking they are visiting ours.

This attempt to ‘piggy-back’ our site is in fact a well-known tactic by cheat marketing outfits. Such people hope that a person, looking for say a washing machine, will Google for a reputable site and end up by mistake purchasing from the dodgy replica site instead.

In a crass attempt to disguise their involvement in the site, they have hosted it through an outfit in the USA, run by a fellow called Todd Ash of Easy Internet Marketing in Scottsdale, Arizona.

His own advertising tells you all you need to know about Todd Ash, who likes to call himself “billionaire” and aggressively threatens any critics of his various get rich quick schemes, which range from using water as petrol to chain marketing ventures.”

Where is Taib?’ BN’s campaign has been taken over by Najib and UMNO. If anyone had any doubts that Taib was Malaysia’s agent in Sarawak these are now over. UMNO allowed him to rob and destroy the country in return for Sarawak’s oil money. Now his looks set to lose, UMNO is determined to take over Sarawak.

Taib is in self denial mode. Poor guy, after over staying as CM for 30 years, he cannot bring himself to accept the truth. Hey, tyrant, just because you refused to see the truth doesn’t mean that it is not happening. Let me lay it for you loud and clear. Your corrupted Regime has ALREADY LOST its 2/3 MAJORITY according to voters sentiment on the ground yesterday.

By the afternoon of Friday April 15, Pakatan Rakyat together with SNAP will have about 40 seats. The final results on polling day will give you such a shock that you had better be sitting down when the news come. Have you been to the rural areas recently? You have lost touch with reality when you “siok sendiri” and proclaim “BN will retain 2/3 majority”. Catch the good news on Friday! UBAH, UBAH, UBAH!!

Sarawak deserve the best treatment equal to Malaya but sad to say their rights were reduced to become equal status with the smaller states of Malaya. what a graves mistreatment of people. BN government is trully unfair, it suppressed Sarawakians through employment opportunities in the public sector, institution of higher learning, education, religion, distorted the history, took the wealth from sarawak and the list go on. The national leaders want to make malaysia a developed nation in year 2020, we got 9 years to go, can we achieved it. There is widespread corruption in the country among the leaders, The PM and the CM are to be blames, they teach people to do good, but they themselves robbed the nations in billions. Look at the education, it should be revamped so that it can compete with others internationally but instead the minister incharge concern introduce a going backward system to suit the needs of the local politician for thier own agenda and interest.

The Sarawak voters should think carefully….

1.What will happen if the federal court overule that ALLAH cannot be used by Christians.

2.I am afraid that the bibles which have been released and cointain the word ALLAH have to be replaced with TUHAN.I am sorry it should be ‘tuhan’ as TUHAN is only used on the muslim conteck -big letters according to Jakim.

Taib thinks he can hide all his wealth and properties… Too bad it has been in public for awhile now. Najib and Rosmah’s regime is desperate. Najib and Rosmah doesn’t want to repeat the incident of 2008 where Pak Lah was ousted due to poor election performance. Likewise Najib and Rosmah will experience the onslaught of the civilised movement for change.

Let us hope and pray that Sarawakians will vote the corrupt BN Government out in Sarawak. It will be the happiest day for all Malaysians if Sarawak falls to the PR.

BN is really not expecting this, and they are at a loss as how to counter the political tsunami about to hit Sarawak. All their tactics failed miserably, first the video tape, first allegedly said to be shot in KL, then when the Thai subtitles came out, it was said to be shot in Thailand. When that did not work, they are now trying to disrupt PR’s ceramahs! This will only make the people angrier as clearly BN is afraid of PR exposing the truths to Sarawakians! The more they agitate, the more Sarawakians will vote, PR. BN, can you be more creative? Continue to disrupt PR ceramahs, please.

We were looking at denying them a 2/3 majority but with the kinds of convictions and determinations shown by the Sarawakians, but a change in Government looks a real possibility.

Let us hope PKR can win 28 seats, DAP “burying” SUPP totally, winning 15, like how they did to the politically impotent GERAKAN/MCA/MIC in Penang. The greatest joke is KTK speaking in a ceramah. Probably, he will blame all the happenings to the 9/11 incident, SARS, H1N1.

It is indeed discouraging and embarassing for Najib holding his ceramahs with bussed in supporters from outside and even so those brought in were not interested to listen to him and walked out immediately after collecting their gifts. PM and DPM pleading with Sarawakians to trust them? Just what have they done to make the Sarawakians distrust them?

And you can see quite a crowd in the SUPP ceramah where KTK spoke, just how many was brought in and enticed with gifts? Just how many of them are employees of CMS?

Let us wait for further developments, anything can happen during the next five days. The good thing is even the Dayaks tak layan BN lagi!
Just what is wrong? This is a lesson to the leaders of today and the future, do not abuse your power and take the Rakyat for granted! Do not think they are fools all the time.

Sarawakians, accept whatever goodies that come your way and demand for more, BUT come polling day, VOTE PAKATAN RAKYAT!
    Selamatkan Sarawak, Salam Reformasi!
