Salute PAS for the well organised ANTI-ISA gathering today, 1st August 2009.
My contacts at the scene say more than 50000 people had turnout and the crowd was even bigger than the Bersih rally on 10th November, 2007.
See here for pictures.
Malaysians taking part in this gathering make me proud of them all for the sacrifice. I’m sorry I was not able to get myself available in KL together with all you brave guys. Still in Sabah lah.
It seems to me that by the look of it, Malaysians are ready for full civil disobedience and the cry for REFORMASI is indeed getting louder all over this country.
It is time for the abolition of the Internal Security Act (ISA) and all other laws that allow for Detention Without Trial. 50 years is far too long.
It is time Najib Tun Razak immediately and unconditionally release all persons that are being currently held/detained/restricted under the ISA and other laws that allow for Detention Without Trial.
