Will The Perak State Assembly Be Dissolve Now That Perak MB, all 6 excos suspended?

Perak State Assembly Speaker V Sivakumar is doing very well in this chess game, its castling. Great play Sivakumar, way to go!

V Sivakumar suspended Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir and his six state executive councillors from the state assembly for 18 and 12 months respectively for contempt of the assembly.

Sivakumar, as chairman of the Perak state assembly’s special privileges committee, said that this was because the seven BN lawmakers failed to give any explanation during the inquiry convened after Wong Kah Woh (DAP-Canning) had last Thursday made an official complaint.

I doubt in this situation the BN Perak government can function effectively.

I think this is checkmate and the situation now can only be resolved via a fresh state elections.

Time to go back to the people to resolve this issue once and for all.

Now will the Sultan dissolve the assembly?

The Sultan of Perak will need to hold a Rulers conference to get back the Sultan immunity through the Federal constitution for the state.
The Powers will still have to go back to the Sultan.
Otherwise there is no way for the Sultan to win on the grounds of legality as no body is above the law as far as the judiciary is concerned.
In the eyes of the public the sultans are now weak in certain areas . With the power back then the Sultan can independently favour which ever side is good for the rakyat of the state.
So the rakyat wants the Sultan to have the independent power that is protected by the law. So that there is no repeat of such problem in the state government.
This is just an opinion which may be good and I will not hold any responsibility or liability for the reader.

    Rakyat.
